Farm Policies

Rules for Horses:

  1. All horses must have a signed contract.
  2. All horses must be accompanied by a written statement obtained within 10 days of their arrival from their current vet detailing their current health.
  3. All new horses will have their pictures taken, past health record reviewed and current health condition recorded upon arrival.
  4. All new horses will be isolated for 5 consecutive days following their arrival to monitor their adjustment to the new surroundings and to observe any behavior or medical problems they might have.
  5. All horses must have a current negative coggins.
  6. All horses must be up-to-date and kept up-to-date for the duration of their residents on the following. Flu, Rabies, West Nile, and Tetanus/E&W Encephalomyelitis. Other vaccinations are optional. (At the owners expense) Note: Strangles is only recommended for horses under 10 years old (twice yearly).  Flu, EWE, tetanus and West Nile are recommended twice yearly.
  7. All horses must be on our deworming program. Rotating dewormer will be administered every 12 weeks. There will be no charge for administering the paste.
  8. All horses must have their teeth checked on an annual basis and floated as needed. (At the owners expense)
  9. All horses must have their feet checked regularly and trimmed as needed. (At the owners expense)
  10. No horses that crib/chew or have behavioral issues, biting, kicking, etc. will be accepted without prior permission.

Rules for Visitors & Staff:

  1. You are welcome to visit your horse at any time - no appointment necessary, however we ask that no one visit the farm after dark, before 7AM, on Christmas, Easter, or Thanksgiving days without prior arrangements.
  2. No dogs are allowed.
  3. You are responsible for your guests. Please make sure they follow all boarding rules.
  4. NO SMOKING is permitted anywhere on the farm.
  5. Turn off all lights. Do not leave the lights on if no one is around.
  6. Leave all gates as you originally found them.
  7. Cruelty to animals will not be tolerated. This includes harsh training methods and punishments that could result in injury to your horse.
  8. Board is due by the 1st of each month. If board is received after the 5th, there will be a $25.00 late fee. If you are consistently late, you will be asked to move your horse.  There is a $25.00 charge for returned checks.
  9. Please be courteous and give a 30 day notice if you will be leaving. There are No Refunds on unused board.
  10. Please park in designated areas only.
  11. If your horse becomes sick or injured and you are not available, we will take the responsibility of calling the vet and the owner will be responsible for any charges incurred.
  12. No horses should be let loose to graze, roam, etc, always keep control of your horse.
  13. Please keep the barn and tack room neat and organized.
